For David, the opportunity to go though a car wash in a MINI Cabrio was a dream come true. He said "I've been waiting my whole life for this moment. Whilst all my other friends dreamt of becoming famous singers or film stars, i just wanted to get wet, wild and crazy! Bring it on!".

Carl apparently spent weeks preparing for the experiment by devising a rigourous training routine which consisted of spending three hours a day submerged in a bath of ice, drinking soapy water every evening before bed, and standing in front of his girlfriend's hairdryer for 30 minutes until he couldn't feel his face anymore.

The car wash itself is roughly 90 feet long. The full cycles takes about 2 minutes. During the process it uses 40 liters of water and 3 liters of high pressure detergent. Each water jet has a maximum pressure of 90 bar, 1305 psi and a delivery rate of 670 liters per hour. The jet dryer has an average temperature of 35 degrees.
